Scientific Seamstress "Dana" Sew-a-Long

Hi again!  Obviously I'm not doing very good at this blogging business, lol.  I've been very busy sewing lately and I have lots of blogging plans, it's just hard to find the time!!  I will try harder though :)
So, I recently joined in the Scientific Seamstress "Dana" Sew-a-Long.  I was unsure at first, but once I saw all of the other Dana tops that fellow sewists were making, I felt very inspired to try for myself!  This is my first successful sewn for myself clothing!!!  And I LOVE it :)

This was also my very first Scientific Seamstress pattern and I would have to say I was very pleased!  The pattern was very easy to put together and all pieces fit perfectly.  The pattern was very well written and all steps were easy to understand.  I did take the top in a bit on the sides for a more fitted shape rather than flowey, but feel that overall it came out to be very flattering.
The best part of all of participating in the Sew-a-Long was the prizes!!  Just by uploading my picture into the folder on The Scientific Seamstress Lab Group Facebook page I was automatically entered into a (random) drawing to win some great prizes!!!  And guess what???  I actually won!!!
jp075 Rose | Lauren
I won two yards of Jennifer Paganelli's beautiful Circa collection (my choice) and I also got to choose any pdf pattern!!

For my fabric, I chose the Lauren print in Rose.  I've already used it as the lining in my purse, and I am in love :)

I say, definitely keep an eye on The Scientific Seamstress blog for future Sew-a-Longs!  There is so much inspiration and it was great being able to see the same top in so many different fabrics and on so many different sized people.
Plan to see me back again soon :)
